Day 13: Hope

Of all the ideas in my life there is one particular concept that drives me each day. That concept is “Hope”. Over the last several months I have learned a lot about myself and the main discovery was the massive amount of Hope that I have. My previous idea of “hope” was :

Hope is the word that defines what humans live for. “Hope” is just described as confidence in something to happen, whether they believe in it or not. It is used to make humans feel more “trust” in someone or something, usually to benefit themselves. Without “hope”, humans tend to feel despair and sorrow. Humans need “hope” to live life to the full extent of their capabilities. “Faith” helps humans acquire “hope” by letting them believe in something they feel they need to live for.

Hope means to me that there is trust and confidence in someone or something that will ultimately lead to good things. I would rather hope than expect. For example, rather than expecting my day to go well, I will hope that it goes well. I hope for my life to lead to a strong relationship. I hope for the stars to come out at night. My life is rather complicated as I am sure most everyone’s is as well. Hope gives me something to look forward to. It allows me to be happy with the outcome rather than disappointed if it is not what I was expecting. “What if it’s not what you hope for?” you ask? My response: It is okay. My day is not based on results. It is based on living and being with people I care about. Hope, for me, is what helps make that happen.

  1. Hope is what some people live on. You say that “Hope means to me that there is trust and confidence in someone or something that will ultimately lead to good things.” I feel that hope is more that things will go the way an individual would like them to go, regardless if it leads to good things. Whats good for one is not always good for another. I am personally an optimist so I hope that what people want is good for them all.

  2. As one of my beloved followers, I would like to extend my sincere thanks and gratitude by sharing with you my exciting news of becoming a newly published author! And, of course, I wanted you to be among the very first to get a chance to read the rest of my debut novel, The Legacy of Blood, now available in e-book format.

(No worries if you don’t have a Kindle or other e-reader device, they have free ones to download on your computer. I went on Amazon and downloaded their “Kindle for PC” absolutely free! Love it! Here’s the link if you need it: .)

Again, I want to thank you kindly for all the support. And you never know, as some of my followers have told me, you could say you’ve had a big hand in helping make Shelby Westland a household name! 😛
